Keepin’ It Simple

It’s all in the title really, a simple understated look. This is such an easy throw on outfit, perfect for work (if you’re lucky enough to be able to wear what you want!), shopping, causal day drinks, anything really!

This skirt was such a steal, I got it in the Topshop sale at £20, what a bargain! They do all different variations too with different colors, patterns and lengths. I’ve also found a replica of this in Primark for £10 if Topshop isn’t for you. It’s satin so really floaty and super comfortable to wear. The waistband is elastic so you don’t have to worry about it being really tight around your tummy, plus it’s high waisted – although you could wear it on your hips if that’s what you prefer! The only downside is that the sizing comes up really strange so I would advise you go a size below what you normally buy, or try this on before… I have a size 10 but I defiantly wish I got an 8 as it is slightly too loose on my waist.

I’ve paired this skirt with an oversized t-shirt for a more chilled out look, but you could easily dress it up with a crop top or an off the shoulder and some heels! I’ve also seen someone wear something similar with a white oversized shirt and it looked amazing! I’m really enjoying a larger t-shirt at the moment and have tucked it into my bra (amazing trick) to alter the length of it.

The thing I like most about this outfit is how simple it is, yet it’s so fashionable and on trend. Really does show that you don’t always need to spend lots of £££ on clothes to create a flawless look! Outfit details are below!

Skirt – Topshop

T-shirt – Reclaimed Vintage

Trainers – Nike

Necklace – Skinny Dip

Earrings – Urban Outfitters

  1. adore this look! So into long skirts at the moment, feel like they’re so casual but you still feel really good in them! xx
